 Welcome

The Cottage School is a community based primary school, providing education from kindergarten through to grade six. This small school of 70 students is situated at Bellerive on Hobart's eastern shore. It provides holistic education in a nurturing environment from three renovated cottages. The philosophy of the school is to provide a broad range of learning experiences catering for the whole child: intellectually, socially, emotionally, aesthetically and physically. There is a strong emphasis on outdoor education with Environment Days, Bike Days and Camps.

Children move on with resilience and self confidence to a wide range of secondary schools, both government and non-government. The school performs well academically with above average NAPLAN results.

Cottage School is non-sectarian, although students learn about major religions and the part they play in society and the world. The school welcomes children from all backgrounds and cultures.
